More Notes:

Carl B. Skinner claims (August 2006) the following:
"It is believed that Archibald Jr. is buried in the graveyard where his ancestors are also buried because a cousin, Bertha Cox Chandler told me as a child she went with her father, Robert Harlee Cox Sr, to visit the graveyard that was located on the dirt road that today is know as Sand Pit Road and is the location of the Cox property that was bounded by the Johnson and Witherspoon properties. The Johnson graveyard is still there but the Cox burying ground cannot be found and is believed to have been taken over by time, farming and the excavation of the area for dirt to make roads thereby forming very large ponds now in existence.
A document in the court house in Marion County shows where 230 acres of land, bordering on the south west by Witherspoon property and the south east by Timmons Property was conveyed to Henry Eaddy in 1871 and further states the property is located on the north side of Lynches River and that the property was the 230 acres that was originally surveyed for William Cox in 1798. This is further proof that William was the line of Coxes that Archibald descended from. Archibald testified to the fact that he knew the signatures on the document were is fact who they represented."
