In 1905-06 she was unmarried and living at 111 Kendrick Street with her brother John Wiliam Cox Sr. in the home of her maternal grandmother Emma Louise Watts Kennedy.
Her death certificate
was filed in North Carolina, where she died after brain surgery.
Her parents are given as Henry Cox and Emma Kennedy (maiden name).
She is buried beside her
husband in Sumter
Cemetery (Sumter, SC). Walsh's directory for Sumter, SC (1905-06) shows
her
living at 111 Kendrick
with her brother, John William Cox, Sr.
The 1907-08 directory does not list her, but J.W. Cox (Jr) high school
scrapbook (1932) has mementos from her.
The census of 1930 shows that she was 16 when she married, which
contradicts her age (18) on June 18, 1905 when her marriage was
published.
