Biographical Sketch:


He and an unknown wife (possibly named Elizabeth) had at least two children.  Two daughters were Sarah and Elizabeth.

Sarah was the first wife of James Stubbs.

Elizabeth  married Samuel Terrell (>1745 - > 1800).  "Elizabeth Tarrell" is found in the 1820 Marlboro County, SC census.  Dickson Pearce's daughter Elizabeth is said to have been born > 1745, later marrying Samuel Terrell ca 1770 in Welch Neck, Marlboro County, SC (children were Martha Terrell (Dec 8 1791 - Oct 18, 1856) and Lewis Terrell (? - 1820).

Dickson Pearce and Silas Pearce, both of Marlborough County, 7 January 1789, to Abraham Baggett, late of the State and County aforesaid, planter. For penal sum: £100 sterling. Condition of obligation: To convey . . . to said Abraham Baggett 200 acres of land . . . lying and being between Thomas Deans land and Silas Pearce's plantation and . . . Ward's lands on the Three Creeks on or before the 1st day of January next ensuing the date hereof. Witnesses: Jesse Baggett and Edward Roe. Signed: Dickson Pearce and Silas Pearce. Proved by Jesse Baggett on 2 January 1792.

Dickson Pearce, planter, to Abraham Baggett, planter, both of Marlborough County, 4 January 1792, for £40 sterling money, a certain parcel of land containing 200 acres, more or less, including the plantation whereon the said Abraham Baggett now lives, the same part of a tract of 300 acres originally granted to the said Dickson Pearce by his Excellence Charles Pincknet, Esq., Governor, grant bearing the date of 5 February 1787. Situated in the District of Cheraw on the north-east side of the great Pee Dee on the south side of Crooked Creek near the Beauty Spot . . . the part con-veyed to said Abraham Baggett being the upper part of the said tract and the part including the said Baggett's plantation whereon he now lives . . . the same being 200 acres, more or less. Witness: Simeon Bethea and Isaac Sumrall. Proved by Simeon Bethea before William Easterling, Justice, 5 January 1792. Recorded 1792.
